Great compact travel tripod!

Great tripod but a little heavier than expected. Perfect for travel but I'm looking for something lighter for hiking. I will probably switch to carbon fiber.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • For old

Not durable Suitable for tripods and monopods

I bought it less than a year ago for indoor sports shooting. Last month one of the legs was slightly bent and now it needs some force to extend/retract. This was to be expected. The reason for the 1 star rating is that there was no Sirui support. There is no number to call and I had to look for the contact page. I haven't heard anything about warranty or parts and I'm not holding my breath.

Good quality tripod, ball head not so good

The tripod itself is great - perfect weight for long hikes - fantastic job for a light tripod (don't expect miracles). The ball head is fine though, not perfect - my Olympus OMD EM1 with a 12-40mm lens held up well but with very little play after tightening the ball head knob and releasing the camera. Overall I'm very happy I bought it - it's worth the money. (Would give 4.5 stars if I could.)

Lightweight, durable and gentle

Bought as a lightweight option for hiking, hiking, hillwalking and all other outdoor activities. You need to be able to move quickly through the mountains, and the less weight you're carrying the better. The limit of this tripod was trying to get a 70-200 f/2.8 long exposure, but that's not a normal circumstance and was really just a test. It also survived a nasty mountain bike crash unscathed, so very well done!

Lightweight and fits in hand luggage

I am a hobbyist photographer, mostly focused on landscape and astrophotography. I bought this because my Vanguard tripod (which I love) doesn't fit in my bag and it's too heavy for most trips. Pros: - very light - good option for traveling or hiking. Camera/lens and conditions, it will be strong enough. - Relatively affordable compared to competing carbon fiber travel tripods.

Center column does not retract

The unit I received is defective. Center column does not extend/retract as described in the description, as shown in the product video and as described in the manual. It is meant to be lengthened by loosening the B-pillar locking knob. But mine doesn't last. The handle only rotates about 1/8 inch. Just in case, I've tried expanding it in several ways: with a fully assembled tripod; with center column removed from legs; with the ball in the head and without. Does not apply. Everything else…

Works great

that I bought to use with my Fujifilm X-T20. So far, so good. I installed it on a Fuji XF18-55 f2.8-4 with a lens hood. The X-T20 and 18-55 is a fairly light combo so the tripod isn't too taxing. I tested it at full extension by firing 5 shots with the remote control every 5 minutes for 2 hours. I checked the level in every frame and in 2 hours no change. The legs seem pretty strong. The lower part of the leg bends a little but springs back easily. I also tested the vibration by placing the…
