Hudson Exchange White Reusable Buckets Review

I bought these lids because they said they fit the 5 gallon pail I bought. I can't get them to fully snap into the bucket so I can't give them more than 3 stars. They're well made and definitely durable, but they won't fit in a 5 gallon bucket.

I purchased this item to dry store old hydraulic fluid buckets. Initially, it was very tight and didn't snap fully around the entire perimeter. So I put the bucket and lid in the sun and let the plastic heat up. Once it got warm, the lid snapped open easily. I left it on for a few days to adjust to the bucket and now it can be taken off and put back on with ease.

Several reviews say this lid will not fit Hudson 5 gallon buckets even though they are both from the same company . weaklings! Suitable if you have strong wrists. You have to fight him first. Once it's on the bucket it kind of adjusts and it's easier to take off and put on from that point. It's also a little easier to remove the cap at this point than most 5-gallon caps, which sometimes require a plastic removal tool.
