Antenna holes too small (for non-Great Scott hardware)

I need to drill holes for the antenna to support my "budget" fully ROUND ANTENNA connectors (Non-Great -Scott Gadgets ) HackRF ONE. Solid box. Excellent markings on the case. The rubber feet are larger than expected (which is a good thing).

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • So-so

This is a great hard case.

This case protects your HackerRF One (although you can still damage the antenna connectors since they don't plug into the case) and can help with EMI protection (I haven't tested it). But it definitely allows me to go to the office and connect to my personal laptop without that weird argument you're going to have with building security to explain why you have a black box with the word "hacker" on it. The only downside to this case is that the LEDs are harder to see because they don't protrude…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Case fits well: External TV tuner

case fits well. I'm not sure if it did as much to lower the RF noise floor as I thought it would. But it made my HackRF more durable than before. It would be nice to see one of these cases with a threaded USB cable connector to protect the fragile mini USB connectors. This can be seen on more expensive SDR cases like the Signal Hound.

Pros
  • wide range
Cons
  • frequency

Recommended update

I added a protection kit and metal case to my HackRF One TXCO. Worth the cost. I would guess if you have the original plastic case this is the recommended upgrade.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Works fine for the HackRF itself, but I had to file the holes.

The HackRF itself works fine, but I had to file the holes for the SMA connectors. My HackRF had square base connectors so they didn't fit round holes in the end caps.

Pros
  • Handy stuff
Cons
  • Nothing
