I'm new to filming and wanted to start with something less expensive. So that was my entry level cage. I use it for my Sony A7iii. The camera fits well in the cage. I have easy access to SD card slots, battery slot and audio ports. The cage feels light but adds weight to the camera, making my shots more stable. It has 2 cold shoe connectors for my other accessories. There are many holes for screws of different sizes. So far I've enjoyed using it.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this product in place of a small rig cage but it turned out to be a great choice. The cage looks well assembled and I can access all the panels and knobs. The audio input panel is hardly disruptive as the camera strap mount can present issues, but this is only a minor inconvenience. Absolutely great alternative to the SmallRig cage at a fraction of the cost. The cage fits my Sony A7iii snugly and the build quality is pretty good, much better than expected. I personally use this cage with a different brand SmallRig top handle and HDMI side clamp and they all work well together. Here are a few things to consider: how SmallRig makes parts compatible in their own ecosystem. Be careful with the position and spacing of the screw holes on this cage when assembling your rig around
