Great alternative if you want an easier way than Samba

This version was easy for me to install since I have some experience with Linux, but it took my computer about 20-30 minutes just to get all of these components installed correctly (I had problems with one component called "Xenix" which caused other parts not to work). The benefits are being able to access files anywhere in our organization without having to take a flash drive or even use any sort of file sharing programs like DropBox! It's also nice because we can now access those same shared

Pros
  • Easy administration/Setup & Installation.
  • Very reliable product that hasn't faltered yet after many years service time so far
  • There is no need at this point if someone were considering purchasing another system they should do their research first before committing financial resources into anything else!
  • Has great capabilities both server side / client sideside
  • Can be used from different platforms such an OS X through SSH connections etcetera

Very stable OS suitable even today: SCO UnixWare 7

I like that this version of unixware has both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. It was easy to install and configure. There are only minor differences between the two. The installation will take some time, but it's worth it. This product is very reliable. I have been using it for years without any problems. It's also a good choice if you need an enterprise level solution. I have used this in many different environments with great success. I highly recommend this product. We use this as our main…

  • And cost/performance ratio..unix environment makes sense..in my view its more powerful than windows platform because can do anything under OS which make user feel less hassle while they work...also free from virus attacks etcetc...like i say best thing about UNIX os.....is long life span compared widows........................i hope Linux distribution or Red Hat Enterprise 5 would be included here tooo..but

Very helpful software that has made learning new commands much easier

I like how easy it was for me to figure out how to use this product, because of all the tutorials online from other companies (like Oracle) it had some very basic ones also included in its manual. It's pretty simple once you get used to it, but there are things here and there where you can't do what you want right away without doing some research or getting someone else who knows more about Linux than yourself to walk you through it.
