    Hour meter Alternator Use

    It was exactly as described and fitted to a Harbor Freight Predator 4000 alternator; Connected to 12V port and works fine. Put a bead of gasket around the face to keep dust out of the chain area.

    Works very well with the Predator 9000 generator

    My Predator 9000 didn't come with a 'Hobbs' gauge so I added it. Works very well. I made it very easy by adding a DC plug and plugging it into the DC cigarette lighter socket on the control panel.

    Easy install, nice looks

    Use this on my Mercury 75HP 2017 OB engine. It managed to start even before the engine saw the water. Super easy assembly and looks really nice. I hope this helps me keep track of the hours I want to spend on the boat for the rest of my life!

    drives perfectly now. Used a 2 " round holder

    Bought July 11th for my new boat. Installed September 11th. I had a problem with a leader. Now it works perfectly. I have a 2" Round holder used. easy to set I connected it to the battery so it works at the right time.

    Easy to install Spare parts

    This hour meter fits into the existing hole for an old depth gauge on our boat. The only problem was finding a 12 volt source that wouldn't affect the outboard motor. I ended up connecting to an existing voltmeter in the console (production mode only). Now he counts the hours until the next oil change.

    Easy setup and reliability.

    Extremely easy to install and use. Also calm. does the job. Pay attention to the maximum wall thickness that the device can measure. I installed in 3/8" plywood and had to chisel the back a little so the "pinch" holder snaps enough jagged edges to hold in place. Should be fine at 1/4" or thinner.

    Inexpensive and easy to install

    Bought a new alternator. You want to keep up with business hours for maintenance purposes and this is for you. Easy installation. 15 minutes and done. As far as I can tell, pretty accurate. I could pull out the old stopwatch, but there's no need. One thing, don't forget to buy a mount. This dose comes with one.

    Bad rust! for lighting and electrical

    I installed this on my boat a little over a year ago and it is very rusty. I had to glue it in because the locking ring broke during installation. They could have simplified the installation by enlarging the bezel and adding three screw holes. I don't recommend this for any type of marine environment. If you leave the key on, keep working.

    Needs modification to fit 1/2 " wood panel + cheap plastic locking tab broke too easily

    Sensor seems to work fine. The way the sensor attaches to the panel is "interesting". Without some creative woodworking (in this case using a wood file) it wouldn't fit into my 1/2 thick sheet of plywood. Then one of the plastic tabs broke off. I secured it with a nylon tie, but that's not optimal, I would have I'd rather have had an old shackle to attach this gauge, the plastic is too brittle.
