Review on BitTorrent by Robiul Islam

Revainrating 3 out of 5

World’s largest decentralized file sharing protocol.

This is the biggest file sharing protocol so far, with some of the assumptions that have claimed more than 20% of traffic related to the BitTorrent. That's why it was huge news when Justin Sun bought it for $140 million. And it got even bigger when the TRON launched a TRC-10 token for BitTorrent with the BTT ticker.

BitTorrent's Successful ICO.
Token sales, which came on Binance's launchpad platform, finished in less than 15 minutes, costing $7.2 million for BitTorrent. And it was followed by $20 million in personal sales. Needless to say, the bear market in cryptocurrency has expanded for the most part in new currencies as the most successful public token sales of the past year.

Do you want to know what BTT token is?
This is a TRC-10 token that it was created to extend the BitTorrent protocol. The first use of BitTorrent Whitepaper was suggested to improve file-sharing capabilities. BitTorrent involves both peer and seed in file-sharing, in which previous people download their requested files into small pieces from seed, users who are sharing a complete copy of this file. Tron believes that BTT can be used to better manage this process.

Speed Feature of BitTorrent.
Speed is designed to use financial incentives on the network. Peers will now be able to increase their position in the download rows and pay on BTT to speed up the download process. And the seeds will benefit from this payment recipient, agreeing to keep their files online for seed as long as they are not.

If you choose to bounce on the BTT token now, the question that round about the whole BitTorrent project is the touch-and-go investment.

Pros
  • Third-party developers simply create new and useful applications on the platform that will meet users' needs. Developers will also find BTT as an incentive for creating applications.
  • A proxy service where users with unreliable Internet connections can pay a client to retrieve content via URL.
  • A storage platform where users can pay for additional storage or get paid to offer storage.
  • The outlook for the Tron Foundation and BitTorrent seems to be similar to the value of many blockchain projects. This is to create an economy in which micro-payments fully power the system, and the ecosystem biologically grows through user engagement over time. Successfully building such a national economy has proved difficult, but there is no other platform for BitTorrent in the form of other projects and gaining popularity.
Cons
  • There are questions about the legality of monetizing downloads of copyrighted material, as it would constitute piracy under US law and the laws of many other countries.
  • There is no way for BitTorrent users to pay for faster downloads.
  • Layoffs after the acquisition of the company by Tron.
