much luck! Fits replacement

Fits my 2003 Chevy Impala. My #1 fan fuse in the under engine compartment fuse box kept blowing and the store said it was due to a short in the fan. I replaced this fan and fuse and it no longer burns. Exchange is a pain. Remove the air cleaner, disconnect the upper radiator hose, disconnect the coolant overflow hose, remove the front engine mounts that connect to the frame above the radiator, slide the diagonal cowling supports out of the way, break off the plastic rivet/bracket. from the bottom of the assembly from the bottom of the car disconnect the wiring to each of the two fans, remove the wiring from the terminals, half unscrew two support screws on each side, loosen the two upper vibration fasteners. . . I think that's it. Now do everything in reverse order. Be careful when installing the engine mounts. Install on the frame, and then reattach the motor-side bracket. If you attach the motor side bracket first, it will be difficult to align the screw holes on the frame and you may end up trimming the screw hole. In short, good luck!

Pros
  • One unit with fan, motor and fairing for maximum replacement efficiency
Cons
  • Problem
