Buy TWO... or more. A set of four spare motors and another set of props let alone two cost more than you can buy this complete X11 at this price point and you have parts for everything including the controller. If you're buying an X11C with a camera, buy one of these just for the motor, props, and spares and to have a cheaper option to learn and potentially break or lose. However, the controller does not have switches for X11C cameras to do this. These buttons are blank on this ATV. Get it from Revain in 2-3 days instead of a month or more from a Chinese seller. This is my first quad (I've flown a fixed wing rc plane) and I don't think there is a better quad for a beginner. There are tons of helpful videos on YouTube about the SYMA X11, particularly from users tdracing13 and the quadcopter 101. Once you crop it and get rid of the ground effect, it hovers in place very nicely with just a few adjustments. The hardest thing to learn is not to overdo it. With dark pillars and blue-white LEDs at the front and white pillars and red LEDs at the rear, orientation is always clear – like headlights and taillights on a car. Flying at dusk is a pleasure. The included 200mAh battery doesn't last very long, so I use the following: HuntHawk 3.7V 250mAh 25C Lipo Battery (4pcs) with 4 in 1 X4 Charger for WLtoys V966 V988 Helicop, UdI U816 816A, Syma X11 X11C, Hubsan X4 H107C H107D H107L and Ladybird stick with these smaller batteries not only to keep the weight down for better performance, but also to reduce stress on the motors and wear and tear. With four batteries, the first battery charges before I deplete the fourth, but I let the quad rest/cool down for 5-6 minutes between flights. The packaging is great and convenient for carrying the quadcopter and controller. This may be my only quad, but I'll probably snag a couple of Cheerson CX-10 Nanos.
