Just doesn't work with my Macbook Pro

I'm trying to run two 27 inch 2560x1440 screens from a new MBP. The second monitor kept dimming. I've since switched to a couple of regular HDMI cables with UNI USB-C to HDMI converters and both screens work great. The size of the HDMI adapter was also an issue, it's huge so it didn't really fit in the HDMI port on the G-Sync monitor because it kept messing up the monitor body.
