I gave this amp 5 stars because it is perfect for the setup I want and the amp performs well as expected. It is true that the amp is not properly rated for the performance but for the price one should expect as such. But I knew exactly what I was buying, so I have no complaints about this amp. I've been testing it for a few days now and it works well with no issues, handles heat very well and is a very solid amp. I wanted something simple that would add bass to my system so I paired this amp with a cheap 10" Boss subwoofer in a sealed box in my truck and it sounds great to me. So if you're looking to add some nice bass to your system, this amp isn't a bad choice. If you're looking for something to power your two 12-inch subwoofers, this might not be the best choice for you. All in all a great amp if you are looking for something simple. A little advice. I have a ford ranger and you really need to make sure you find a good ground which i did and this amp doesn't overheat at all, even my this rig in my extended cab in my ranger so may not impress, a Putting a rig like this in the trunk of a car it all depends on how much bass you're looking for, I was on the verge of buying this amp but I'm really happy with it and glad I did.
