I bought these to color in. After chemo I feel bad and don't want to do much, so I paint. I don't consider it art and have no intention of giving it up, but it takes my mind off my nausea. As an artist I have Prismacolor pencils and Copics and Tombow for water markers. Instead of using them in a coloring book, I bought the cheapest markers with the most colors I could find. I also liked that it had a thin line so I could get into tiny spaces. The color they apply is rich and beautiful and so far the ink seems to have matched the color. You can't blend well, but that might be because that they are not alcoholic or my newspaper is not working. or I try to prevent bleeding. Luckily, as long as you stay light, it doesn't seem to bleed to the back of the paper. I really want to use both sides of my books. However, the brush tips are very cheap and, as a test, split after only a few square inches of paint. At some point I may have to take the diggers and/or pencils apart, at least for the primaries and larger items. We'll see when I actually get to town, but I doubt I can finish more than a page or two without ruining the brushes. (Of course you cannot stay in the queue after sharing). If they last longer I will update them. So for $25 I think that it's good value for money if you're doing a school project or just writing a postcard or two. If so, you probably don't need that many colors and can try better ones. Obviously the brush clip doesn't hold up under heavy use.
