Review on 🥚 Nordic Ware Microwave Egg Cooker, 4 Capacity, White by Wendy Harris

This is my second purchase of the same brand. I bought this product a few years ago and it has worked well. I gave it to a relative and bought another one. But by mistake I bought a fake. It worked for a while until an egg exploded spectacularly in the microwave and made a huge mess. I threw it away and bought the real one again and it worked as expected. The fake was badly done. The top and bottom, as well as the aluminum inserts, do not harmonize well with each other. The top insert keeps falling off and the bottom insert is not perfectly round. I think this allowed the microwave to enter the egg compartment and heat the eggs directly causing an explosion. There was also no waterline indicator and I had to try a couple of times and make a mark with a marker on the outside so I knew how much water to put in. The Nordic Ware Microwave Egg Boiler is well made and the parts fit together well. There is a flooded water main and the instructions say it is "very important" to add water up to that main. The reason I don't give it a 5 is that the top doesn't "snap" into the bottom like the instructions say. It's just loose on it. But as long as the two metal inserts fit together properly, I think everything will be fine.
