Overall this is the best pre-assembled shower head I have ever installed. A purchased shower head can usually be improved with a few modifications, such as removing the throttle, making the hole larger, etc. With this shower head, I was actually only able to achieve an improvement in water pressure of around 10% through tuning. The shower head works as expected, however I don't think there is a really good shower head setting that provides enough comfortable high pressure and significant water flow. I'm looking for an environment where my face is immersed in a jet of water and I wake up in the morning. There are two high pressure settings on the shower head, both have very narrow jets of water and one has too much pressure to use on your face. The best shot I've found isn't really a shot, it's a space between two shots; midway between the highest pressure setting and the rain setting below. If you're interested in swapping out your shower head to get more pressure and water, there are two places to swap. The best modification is to increase the size of the adapter that connects this product to your pipeline. The ball socket in this adapter is the first point of limitation. It can be enlarged by hand with a drill, I used a 1/2" drill. This increased the pressure by about 10% in all settings. The next change is to the showerhead stem itself. Inside the stem is a cast stop mechanism that can also be rebored I didn't feel any increase in pressure with this bore but the water flow did increase slightly I'm comparing this to my last two shower heads which were both $20 Waterpik 5 function heads both 10 years old held and then fell off.separately.I also bought every shower head in big stores for less than $50 after the first irrigator broke, returned them all and bought almost the same irrigator as my broken one.All the shower heads tested didn't work as good as this shower head but when the plug is removed from the shower head the shower head works better than this I find my wass fall preference is simply the optimal midpoint of water flow size and water flow pressure. The showerhead in this test has two high-flow rain settings, between which the flow and pressure change slightly. A better design would be to replace one of them with a medium-sized stream of higher pressure water. The only thing that needs changing in the design is the side clean flow adjustment. The setting would be much better if the nozzle was centered on the shower head, as that position is simply not known at this time. The cleaning head reminds me of the shower heads used in public pools in the 70's. It just throws powerful random splashes of water at you. The best features of this shower head are that it stays in place, you don't struggle with the hose, it looks great because it's 100% plastic, and the high pressure feel acts like a scalp massager.
