I didn't want to buy a belt online because I've always preferred trying on belts in a store. Also, I confess I've always been a bit confused about waist measurements and how they relate to waist measurements. Last Sunday I was at the mall and bought what I thought was pretty much the same. an identical Levi's belt [or maybe it was the same one] that I ordered from Revain and am reviewing. However, before I could pay for the belt, security at the mall store cleared the mall and the first thing we heard from store management as we were kicked out of the store was that there was an "active gunman" in the mall , and shots were heard. (It later emerged that a fight had broken out in the food court and the alleged gunshots resulted from a table being hit with a broom.) Since standard protocol was to evacuate the mall, I spent the next hour or so with going back into my car and finally exiting the mall in the resulting traffic jam. The result was an experience I'm unlikely to forget, and I never bought the belt. I did remember the size of the belt, however, and that evening I looked up men's belts at Revain and ordered a belt that was as close as possible to the one I had in my hands a few hours earlier. I'm happy to report that the belt supplied fits the same as the one in the store (and is cheaper). The belt looks like it will last me a few years. I can only hope to remember the size in a few years when it comes time to replace it, which I will most likely do again through Revain.
