Touch sensitivity worn out

Bought a year ago and found that after half a winter of use (mainly driving and walking around town) the touch sensitivity started to wear off. At this point, the other fingers are more sensitive to touch, simply by pressing harder on the screen! What made the pads conductive was either worn away or washed away. I've only washed them a few times, first by hand and then in the washing machine. This may be because the right fingertip of the index finger is rougher and more broken than the other fingertips. The tip of the right index finger is also larger than the left one (see picture). Not sure why. Overall I like the feel and how snug these gloves are and they offer some warmth without getting in the way but the lack of touch functionality is a bummer as that is the main reason I bought them.
