I looked for many similar coolers for laptops, read both positive and negative reviews, after which I decided to buy this KLIM model (black and white model). I opened the box and there was a metal mesh attachment with a USB connector. and all you have to do is connect to a power source. In my case, I plugged one into the USB port of a laptop docking station to minimize the load on the laptop and keep the fan running all the time. Cooled Lenovo laptop. The height and width of the device is just the right size, and the 4 fans are quiet. I put another block under the router and a swtich block to cool them down. Again, both the wireless router and network switch are much cooler and don't feel any heat at all. ------ The 4 blue LEDs will light up now. Well, it could have been a home run if they hadn't been there. The blue LED is very bright. If you can cover it with the bottom of the laptop the light is minimal but in my case I used KLIM logo stickers to cover the blue LED lights. Overall a remarkably quiet product with 4 fans and a simple flat/thin metal finish. Exactly what I was looking for.
