Review on 🔮 Twinkly Smart Custom LED String Lights – Special Edition with App Control – 250 RGB+W LED Lights – IoT Ready Customizable Lighting – Create or Download Light Displays by Stephanie Traub

This year I received 2 sets of 250 bulbs for our Christmas tree. Out of the box in one set there was a faulty power supply, it was supposed to give 24 volts DC to the light controller but it gave out exactly 0 volts. I ended up having to cut off the patented connector and plug it into the 24V DC universal power supply I had. After that everything was fine. It was easy enough to connect them in the app, join them as a group, and map them out. But I found that if I turned them off, i.e. actually disconnected them from the network, I had to repeat the whole process again; Needless to say, this is very annoying. Where I live we have 230 volt 1 phase electricity so I had to use a transformer; For this reason, I like to turn off the transformer when not in use. This obviously wasn't possible as I had to set everything up from scratch every time (without connecting to wifi, it remembered that connection, only the application). So I ended up removing both of the original power supplies and hooking them up to my 240VAC-24VDC power supply, which can supply 4 amps at 24VDC, which is more than enough for the lights. Since then it's been working great. They are very good and produce amazing effects, there are obvious quality issues (failed power supply?!?!) and some app issues. But overall I'm glad I got them and would recommend them, just be patient with them.
