The app definitely needs an overhaul. Some tree effects are almost impossible to reproduce without repeated placement and testing. Pro tip: make sure all the strings you want to merge have the same firmware and settings (e.g. carousel) and that they all get SEPARATELY onto your wifi before you connect them, as it's impossible to cancel them other than deleting and launching the application. This year I received 2 sets of 250 bulbs for our Christmas tree. Out of the box in one set there was a faulty power supply, it was supposed to give 24 volts DC to the light controller but it gave out exactly 0 volts. I ended up having to cut off the patented connector and plug it into the 24V DC universal power supply I had. After that everything was fine. Be careful who you buy it from (if anyone). I ordered this "Special Edition" 250 bulb with supposedly very high quality white light, but got the regular 400 bulb version. Adding to the confusion is that the box correctly states that what's inside is the 400 light version, but again (falsely) has a sticker on top that says it's a 400 light version special edition Customer service was inefficient at best, only offering to return it.
