Overall I like these lights. We have 250 rgbws on a 7.5ft tree. We spent some time researching sellers and chose one of the more reputable sellers as most of the problem lamps were from low rated sellers. very safe box. The installation was a bit crazy, since the application is very specific I have to say that you have to follow the instructions very carefully. I'm very tech savvy and screwed it up once, it doesn't work until I cleared the app's cache and restarted it from scratch. But once properly connected to a good Wi-Fi signal, these lights were great. Warning** Plug it in and install it where you want to install it. If you unplug the devices from the wall they reset, I suggest permanent storage for the next gen. The lights at 250 cover my 7.5 foot tree well. , might be a bit sparse for an 8 foot tree. It may be important to note that 250 covers wood the same way I've done regular lightbulbs in the past. I've seen trees with the recommended 100 bulbs per foot and as much detail as the light will allow. not my thing - it looks very bright and distracting as our room is very warm and we didn't want all the lights to distract from the decorations on and around the Christmas tree. I don't spend money on expensive things and I think these lights were reserved for getting them. I love light and my young child likes to play with lights. As long as they last, it's worth it as these LEDs usually last a long time if installed, removed and stored properly.
