Good idea but awkward to use
The extension option is good but when you try to hit a fly some of the reach rotates causing the top of the swatter to rotate making it almost impossible for someone kill. The top of the fly swatter is very small compared to what I would call a regular fly swatter. I wouldn't recommend it unless you plan on gluing the part you want after you set the length you want.
