Consult your veterinarian before giving it to your dog!

I bought this flea treatment for my Australian Cattle Dog who has always been very healthy and in great shape. I was giving him these pills as directed on the bottle for about 25 days when I noticed my dog was drinking a lot more water and urinating more frequently. I took him to the vet and did a blood test. All of his readings were excellent except for two liver enzymes which were extremely elevated. Put in a state of alert for both the vet and me. Speaking about what could be causing this problem, I informed the vet that I had started taking these pills and noticed that one of the ingredients was dried garlic. My vet responded to me immediately and told me to stop giving him the pills now. It's been 4 days since I stopped giving him the pills and I've started giving him some liver support meds to help him get back to where he needs to be asap . He doesn't drink as much water and doesn't urinate as much; in fact, he seems to be returning to normal. I'll know more when I give him another blood test in 3 weeks. Removing these pills from his diet is the only change I make to the diet to be 100% sure they were the cause of the elevated liver enzymes. If, after three weeks of observation, it turns out that these tabs are not the culprit, I will be happy to update this review. At the same time I felt it was very important to post this because I don't want any dog parent going through what I have seen my dog do in the last 25 days. I'm so happy that he seems to be recovering. I will never give my dog anything with any type of garlic again, no matter how many reviews or seller responses say it's perfectly fine.
