After all the reviews and articles praising these headphones, I had to be sure that the first headphones I bought were equivalent for the price, the AKG Mk 240 II wasn't the wrong choice. That's what my comparison is based on. Fit: The Sony clip fits snugly around my ears. They do not cover the ear but are pressed directly against it. I have a big head, so I'm sure that's part of the discomfort, but phew. My ears hurt after a few minutes of wearing them. The sizing is a cheap plastic-to-metal snap system that never feels comfortable enough. AKGs completely surround the ear, hugging the skull and significantly reducing ear pain. I can wear them for hours. They adjust themselves and every time I put them on I feel great. Sound: Sony - tin. I had headphones that came with my phone that sound similar. I hardly had to listen to the song to realize how bad the sound quality was. I don't understand how they get so much praise. It wasn't a "flat vs. tuned" argument; the quality is just bad. AKGs are completely flat and neutral. It's weird to get used to, but once you do, you'll love it. Everything is clear, the bass is not too pronounced, everything sounds as it should. I can and have listened to them for over 12 hours and enjoyed every moment. Final Thoughts: The only positive part of this experience was the amp. It's not the highest performing, but it's pretty clean and comes with four 3.5mm to 1/4-inch adapters and a connecting cable. I was a little sad to return it but it wasn't worth the package price.
