Like all Blue Devil products, it works well when used correctly. A rear shaft seal on a 1992 Suburban automatic transmission was leaking. After driving about 40 km, there is no more leakage. So far it has run more than 12,000 km without any problems.

Added August 2015, leak stopped by January 2018 I have ordered another bottle to try again but the leak seems more severe at the moment to be, so I'm not sure it will work a second time after more than 2 years; I think it's worth a try based on the results so far. Santa Fe 2002 car.

The only problem I had was finding the transmission cover to add fluid to my car. The funniest thing about the Cobalt is that it sits behind the engine block and not next to the other fluid intakes. Also, it's much lower and harder to reach so I had to buy a special tube, but the sealing worked wonders and prevented a lot of maintenance issues.

A 2005 Duramax Diesel had the upper transmission seal leaking for years. I've used this in power steering systems before and it worked and stayed sealed on an older Mustang for years. Instead of spending $1,400 just on a 500,000+ mile Duramax transmission, I put it in and the next day the leak stopped. It's been over 2 months and still sealed.
