A 2005 Duramax Diesel had the upper transmission seal leaking for years. I've used this in power steering systems before and it worked and stayed sealed on an older Mustang for years. Instead of spending $1,400 just on a 500,000+ mile Duramax transmission, I put it in and the next day the leak stopped. It's been over 2 months and still sealed.
