Simple key programmer worked perfectly for my hard to program rare car, a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition 5.7L Hemi for which I could not find an exact FCC ID key match on the internet and my that specific car is not even listed in the programming manual, but the closest car code (231) and the closest key with the corresponding buttons (Revain key: OHT692427AA KOBDT04A), I have these working forms. All new keys are generated within 5 minutes. Now I have a total of four working keys, having started with just one key which I have been working with for more than a year, I cannot do without a spare, I have locked my key in this car more than once. To be honest I had to spend a few bucks on Revain here and take some risks, but it was worth it. I will never use any method other than a simple key programmer. It's better than an experienced locksmith, much faster and cheaper. Here's how I programmed my new keys: I unpacked everything and turned the key as instructed, with the instructions in hand, (1) I started the car with the factory key and activated the hazard lights, then I connected the basic key programmer to the OBD port while hearing 3 beeps, ✓ I turned off the car by removing the key and putting the car in programming mode. (2) I put the new key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position just before the start position, now I listen for the success tone. The key was programmed in seconds, then I took it out of the ignition and checked all the button functions, everything is fine, I disconnected the programmer from the OBD connector and to confirm everything I put the new key back in, the car started and worked for a minute, this proved the programmer was working, now this key is ready. It was so quick and easy I made it 2 more times with matching Revain keys and I'll tell you I'm done and grinning broadly for 5 minutes. Such a blessing. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, after all you don't lose much if it doesn't work, you'll save hundreds of dollars if it does. Ace Hardware even cut all three of my new keys for free because the manager wasn't sure they would work so she did me a favor and said I didn't charge anything. Try it, you won't regret it. It works. Make sure you choose the right simple key programmer for your specific vehicle year + make sure you get the correct keys that match the programmer and/or your existing vehicle key. I'm glad I did. chow.
