Review on Champion Sports Tournament Tetherball Set by Jason Wright

This is a nice little tetherball set but not quite what I expected. The description says it's portable and perfect for picnics, the beach, camping, etc. I figured that meant the bar had a weighted base or some way to move it around. You will receive a segmented rod (3 pieces) and a practical carry bag. But there is no base - you will be given a plastic cover, which must be placed in the hole you dug according to the instructions and covered with cement and earth. Serious? It's barely wearable! The sticks are good quality and fit together well and the ball is ok too (although it loses air quickly but I don't know if it's a ball or how much my kids play with it). If you want to create a stationary tetherball court, this is a great option. I also suspect that you could plant it in the sand with no problem. Just remember that there is no base, so wherever you go you have to go into the ground.
