Review on 📷 Tilta Camera Cage Kit E for Sony a7S III Camera, a7S III Pro Kit with Handles, NATO Rail, TA-T18-E-B (Black) by Alfonso Alexander

Bought direct from Tilta. Initially, this cage seemed solid, but after a few weeks of use, its flaws began to show. Unlike other offerings from SmallRig, this cage attaches with just one 1/4 20 mounting screw. Wide tolerances on the circumference of the cage mean that the camera has very little positive contact, allowing the housing to move a degree or two to either can turn pages. This makes it completely useless for gimbal flying or attaching follow focus/matte box rails. Also, the loose connection worries me about stress on the camera's HDMI port when using the included HDMI cable clamp. I like Tilta and have many of their products, but I feel like this was rushed to market and/or designed for a different camera body. If you are looking for a7S III cages, SmallRig is your best choice. In addition to the 1/4 20 attachment point, their cages also attach with a threaded screw through the camera strap eyelet for a secure fit.
