Review on Kidco G1201 Extra Tall and Wide Auto Close Child and Pet Gate: 47.5-Inch Pressure Mount Safety Solution by Roberto Smith

As the name suggests this gate is very high and wide which is a big plus. We placed it at the bottom of the stairs and the shorter gate required too much slope. The extra width of the opening is also very good. Our previous gates were a few centimeters narrower and the difference is noticeable. The gate is very strong and adults can easily open and close it. It stays open when opened more than 45 degrees, which can be both a plus and a minus. That's my only small problem. It would be nice for us if it was always closed and maybe had a little latch that could lock it in the open position. I could add a weak spring to gently close the gate, but that's not really a huge disadvantage. All in all a great goal. It works well and looks beautiful. Worth the extra $$$.
