We bought this backpack for my son early in the summer to use on a plane trip with plans to take it to school in the fall use. - Plenty of pockets and nice organizational features. For a personal item on the plane, it worked well. Plenty of room for his electronics, sweatshirt, snacks etc. Nothing to wear after a week of travelling. The Rascal - On the first day of school, armed with a binder, a chromed book, and a pair of spiral notebooks, plus lunch. He can come home the same day and said that one of his zippers is sticking out. On the 2nd day there was a hole inside between the different parts and on the 4th day he returned home with the shoulder straps of the backpack torn off. We passed the return cutoff because we got it at the start of summer. I expected some signs of wear but not a complete breakdown. In summary, it probably works well when used for a small number of items. If you plan to use it as a school backpack, forget about it.
