Review on πŸ‘Œ High Quality Hadley Roma MS3445RA 200 Genuine Rubber: The Perfect Watch Strap Upgrade by Robert Mulrooney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great strap with some sizing issues

I was looking to replace the NATO strap that came with my new Traser Commander P6506; it looked too thin and flat and I wanted it to look "more substantial". I started reading about alternative straps and decided to try Italian rubber watch straps. When it came to Italian rubber watch straps, it seemed like I basically had three choices. The cheapest are Modena brand straps, which most people consider "cheap" and don't have good reviews. Basically, they seem to attract a lot of lint and generally have some quality issues. In a way, no wonder for $12. On the other end of the spectrum, there are brands like Hirsch that start at over $60. that seems like a lot of money for a fancy rubber band. Then there are the Hadley Roma straps, which are in the mid-range price range, around $30. Overall I'm very happy with the look and quality. It's so comfortable I sometimes forget I'm wearing it. It is well finished with no discernible rough edges or casting marks. Yes, it has a really nice vanilla smell. On the other hand, the strap is a bit short. I don't have weightlifting arms and find the band short. And because of its length, it's actually a bit difficult to secure the end of the strap through the hoops. Also, I found the tires to be narrow; It doesn't slide easily up and down the length of the strap, maybe too tight. The metal buckle, while nicely done, also feels a bit tight. If you like it very tight, you will love these "features", but they are a bit too narrow for me. Overall I'm very happy with the strap, but you should be aware of these limitations.
