It works and won't break the bank

I added a video where I enlarge the photo. On my first hike, I took my Z7 with me. I used a new monopod and I have to be the first to admit that I wasn't sure the monopod would do the job. I needed a monopod for my 600mm lens. It would have been incredibly difficult to take this photo handheld. The monopod exceeded my expectations and proved very useful for my gear bag. It was compact enough to slip into the side pocket of my camera backpack, but strong enough to support the weight of my lens and my hand, which forced the stem into a fixed position when the shutter button was pressed. My only conclusion is that the threaded screw may have a locking latch or an inverted turntable connector. I also think the legs could use a reversible spring on the bottom to add more stiffness to the legs. This is not enough to negatively affect your photo. Overall I would rate this as a very well fitting monopod and give it 5 stars. I have no doubt that there are probably more expensive and better suited monopods out there that meet my above criteria, but I find that cameras and associated technology are already expensive without you having to spend a fortune on accessories.

Pros
  • STURDY DESIGN: Includes carbon fiber camera monopod and tripod base, strong and durable; Note. The camera is not included. Note. When the camera is mounted on a monopod, you must hold the monopod with one hand, otherwise it will fall and damage your camera.
Cons
  • boring packaging
