NOTE: I changed my original one star rating to a 3 star since it has been some time since Nature's Variety stopped using China as a source for rabbit. The 3 is because of some Nature's Variety products (not this one to the best of my knowledge) were recalled for salmonella and for a foreign object choking hazard in the past. Having piece of mind that I'm feeding my pets safe quality food is very important to me. However, this product still is better than most canned options on the market due to its higher quality ingredients and it's grain free. If not for the safety record, I would give it a 4.**Update September 22, 2015- I called Instinct's customer service line regarding where rabbit is sourced as I receive occasional questions on this matter. I was told that their rabbit is sourced from France and Italy and there are no plans to source from China again. However, I could not obtain confirmation that this is corporate's official permanent policy again and this subject matter is still not addressed anymore on the official website under FAQ as it was in 2013. This is the only protein sourced from China per their representative at this time.
