So I got this preamp after using its little brother with 6J1 tubes which I thought were excellent but a warm natural produce sound. that you can listen to for hours without getting tired. The sound is very similar to vinyl. So I decided to give the older brother a try. It's a bit more expensive. The sound quality is excellent, very comparable to the 6J1, however the output levels were significantly lower than the 6J1 which meant you had to turn up the amp. So I brought it back, but you can't go wrong with Aiyima's tube preamps. The best bang for your buck you can get. Crystal clear natural sound that you can listen to for hours. By the way, I replaced the stock tubes with GE tubes, which noticeably improved the sound quality.
