    Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

I took it for a PC, as an external audio card, and with the ability to transmit an LDAC signal to headphones via Bluetooth. For comfortable listening to music - I put the transmission mode on BT. For games - I switch to DAC mode, and take headphones connected via an RCA adapter - 3.5mm output. The sound quality is decent, and there are no delays. For fine-tuning in Windows, you must install the FiiO Control Panel. Players like AIMP allow you to use ASIO. And once again, the main essence of this

    Pros
    • Sound! A very worthy DAC! Even on the red-white RCA gives a decent sound to the headphones! LDAC sounds flawless. Nice volume knob.
    Cons
    • 1) The mode switch is very flimsy, obviously not designed for frequent switching. The device is not cheap, "audiophilia", and all that. It's a shame. 2) Bluetooth sound will always be with a solid delay. At least if the headphones are without AptX LL or Adaptive. Games immediately fly off, movies - discomfort is possible. Music - no problem! 3) LDAC. These 4 letters allow you to strongly tie to the price. If the playback device does not support LDAC, and / or there is no desire to communicate with it in principle, we pass by.

Best product I have ever reviewed, I recommend it to everyone!

Magic box! I had the previous Bluetooth converter on the same chip, but there was no LDAC in it, and the overall sound quality was noticeably not up to this model. The level control on the front panel also turned out to be very important for me, because for some reason any external device with my receiver does not match in signal level and a small crack appears at high frequencies. On this device, I set the level to about 90+ percent and the crackling was gone.

    Pros
    • Sound quality. LDAC support. Mechanical level control on the front panel.
    Cons
    • Silence on first connection. I broke my whole head why so, until I installed their application and reached the point: Digital increase in the sampling rate, I poked different options there and when choosing Compatible, everything worked. Some fool. But you can forgive.

I expected mediocre quality, but the product was pleasantly surprised.

I took Fiio taishan to replace it in the hope of an improved DAC and further expand the capabilities of the amplifier with bluetuth reception. The first and main task for me is the DAC (TV-amplifier) and Fiio does an excellent job with this task - no delays / out of sync, but in fact Fiio Taishan-D03K is enough for this (there are a lot of others on the Internet, including with bluetooth, but do not be fooled, the sound is mediocre, plus delays). Bluetuth is on the switches here, for…

    Pros
    • Quality balanced sound.
    Cons
    • There is no versatility. Once connected and forgot it's not about this box. Switches are not entirely clear if there are separate inputs / outputs. Why it was impossible to configure the entire system through the application. Why is the volume control needed in DAC mode? Why does bluetooth turn off in this mode? A lot of why. The box itself is very, but not brought to mind

The product can be used, I expected a little more.

Previously, I saw a negative video review related precisely to the low quality of the encoder. But he did not attach any importance to this. And because I really needed a bluetooth encoder in Win 10 and decided to buy it. But because of the low quality of coding, then the purchase had to be abandoned. Different pros: This device, the only one of its kind, supports LDAC encoding via USB, and not via optical. Good receiving and transmitting range (as an encoder). Respectable, modern appearance…

    I'm satisfied, it's a good purchase.

I am satisfied with the purchase. The sound is good. For such a price, more than. If not for the above shortcomings, it would be ideal for those who need LDAC + bluetooth distribution, for a very reasonable price. I don’t know why he has the maximum frequencies of 192 kHz in the Characteristics, although he can use 32 bits at 384 kHz, if via USB. If about optics, then 96 kHz and 24 bits.

    Pros
    • 1) Able to distribute bluetooth. 2) LDAC. 3) Support for all major codecs. 4) 384 kHz, 32 bits. Small, lightweight. Looks neat and stylish. Convenient application. Flashing to a new firmware is quite easy. If you ever sewed the BIOS yourself, then it will not cause difficulties. DSD support
    Cons
    • The mode switch is inconvenient. When you need to switch from DAC mode (rightmost position) to TX mode (middle position), it is difficult to do this without first flipping to the leftmost position (RX mode) by inertia, and only then, for some reason, it is easier to catch middle position. There is NO separate headphone output. Only with RCA through an adapter to remove the signal. There is no balanced output. You cannot enter the settings from the application if the device is in bluetooth distribution mode. Only when in bluetooth reception mode or in DAC mode. In bypass mode, when distributing bluetooth, there is no output via RCA, only via optics and coax. Thus, without switching the buttons on the device itself, you can simultaneously listen to music both on the headphones (turning off the speakers themselves) and on the speakers, turning off the headphones themselves, WITHOUT TOUCHING the FIO BTA 30 PRO itself.

    Transmission Failed

Failed to convert optical input from optical output on my Panasonic TV to LDAC transmission to Sony headphones. Paired with headphones, everything is fine, but only pulsating noise from the optical input. The optical input works fine on my Pioneer receiver, but when I used the same cable and plugged it into the BTA30's optical input, it didn't work. The receiver function worked to receive the signal from my Iphone Xs when connected to my stereo amplifier. In the negative reviews I see that…

Transferring LDAC from PC Toslink to my Sony XM4

If anyone is having trouble transferring data from PC to Sony XM4, try 2 device connection in Sony's headphone app . I also deleted my original pairing, just in case, by holding the power and pairing buttons for more than 5 seconds, after that I uninstalled the BTA30 sound driver in Device Manager and rebooted. Use FooBar2000 for high bitrate input, but when streaming Spotify make sure it's selected for your PC and not another device like ROKU, otherwise there will be no sound. The DAC has a…

Does not work with Sony WH-1000XM3

I was trying to use the FiiO BTA30 as a Bluetooth transmitter with a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones. The headphones paired easily and the LED on the BTA30 indicated that the LDAC codec was being used. The sound over the optical connection was transmitted correctly. However, when I turned off the Sony headphones and then turned them back on, they would not connect to the BTA30. Sony immediately "spoken out" and continued to do so even after turning off the BTA30 and headphones. I tried a…

Good, not so good and ugly transmitter

I use it as a transmitter to listen on headphones anywhere in the apartment. like all fiio products, nice design, solid assembly. The sound quality is excellent with Aptx. I need to update my receiver to try other codecs. i would say about 50% more range than my taotronics ba07. I still don't have a good reliable connection in my kitchen which is about 25ft from the transmitter through walls etc. The documentation isn't great, but it's not that hard to figure out. I really like the LED color…

Great for LDAC from PC to headphones but far from perfect

I have XM4 and wanted to use them from my PC and am very happy with the results. I connected the BTA30 to my PC (Asus TUF x570 motherboard) and listened to Tidal and the sound was amazing (HiFi or master music on Tidal + XM4 connected to LDAC). Quirks: 1. LDAC for your headphones requires you to use an optical or coaxial cable as the source. If you connect it to your computer, you CANNOT use the LDAC codec (some of you might not care).2. The volume control is not very sensitive. You will find…

Great concept, some issues but good performance

I gave the BTA30 a negative review at first and gave it one star. return planned. Then I decided to try again. Turns out I was feeding it a faulty Toslink cable. I replaced the cable with a new one I had on hand and it started working very well. I use the BTA30 with a pair of Shure Aonic 50 headphones. Stocks can use a variety of codecs, including aptX and LDAC. BTA30 connects to LDAC and sounds great. It also allows me to create a second connection with my iPhone so I can make and receive…

Preliminary rating will be updated with use. I use them with Drop THX Pandas and the difference in audio quality between aptX and LDAC is amazing. I don't know what jump you're getting from aptX HD, but if you're using SBC or aptX it's a noticeable improvement. Pairing with this device was a bit painful. My previous Creative W2 always connected to every headset I used with no problems. A few things to try with the BTA30: Connect it to the app and disable any codecs you won't be using, except…

half baked. Annoying defects hinder the business transaction.

*Upgraded from 2 to 3 stars. See Update 3 for more information. This device looks great on paper. You have a Bluetooth receiver, transmitter and DAC in one device. Bluetooth 5.0 support and those other features for $89 seems like a lot compared to some of the competition. I personally liked the Fiio products (I own the amazing FH3 and BTR5 and many others in the past) so I couldn't resist trying it out. My setup consists of 3 digital inputs: PS4, CD player and Bluetooth. I run them through a…

Decent wireless LDAC sound quality but cumbersome controls

I bought this FiiO to work with my Mac Pro 5.1/4.1 via USB/optical so I could use my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones and my attached Anthony Gallo Micro speakers can be heard connected to a Velodyne Microvee subwoofer. My audio source is either my own lossless copies of my own CD collection stored in iTunes or Revain HD/Ultra streams. PHYSICAL FACILITIES. The device is easy to set up, but no documentation is supplied (but can easily be downloaded from the Internet). The physical body is made of…
