The product is completely satisfied, performs its functions.

After reading the comments of other people, I want to note the following: - "connect to an expensive amplifier, then they will definitely play, open up" - indeed, with an expensive amplifier, the sound will be better, but for example, it is not important for me to "open the sound of the NS-6490", but the overall sound of the system, better sound, preferably at a lower cost. from the point of view of obtaining the best sound at optimal cost, the class of acoustics should approximately…

    Pros
    • Good acoustics in general (such), I sometimes turn on this retro system. Here I would like to note what distinguishes them from other speakers. The strengths of the NS-6490 include a very wide smooth sound, good stereoscopicity, and an excellent midrange. A sound with some emphasis on the upper and middle frequencies, giving this speaker the brightness of reproduction at these frequencies. In terms of the breadth of sound, in the construction of the scene, they can really compete with the speakers at times more expensive, this is facilitated by the large speaker size for bookshelf speakers and three-band. Despite the laminated coating of the woofer, the characteristic soft features of the "cellulose" sound are clearly audible in the sound, the woofers are very soft. both components sound musically flowing, not overloaded with unnecessary details, booming bass, with some pastel tones, a veil. The harshness of the sound in some reviews is probably due to the unsuccessful selection of the amplifier / acoustics bundle, there is some tendency to harsh sound in the treble and upper midrange, the NS-6490 tweeter is plastic (not silk, but not metal either) They look very good, they are very beautifully painted. Vinyl film finishing is more expensive, but it is immediately clear that this is a film and in general the difference is small, although the film is more beautiful, however, both there and there are budgets, but the main thing is sound, appearance is secondary. Now I would buy them again if I was looking for acoustics up to 10 thousand. ~~~ Small and deep upgrades are available, but if you take the factory-made speakers, then the acoustics are 5-6 thousand. almost all have second-order crossovers of one quality or another, hung on the best speakers, it is doubtful that even after a deep upgrade, the NS-6490 will beat the factory speakers, which are 6 thousand more expensive, i. E. around 15 thousand.
    Cons
    • It is quite reasonable to pay attention to other properties of the product. Bass for this money is generally acceptable, but does not match the appearance of the speaker with a circle with a diameter of 200mm. The convexity of the midrange in general never tired me, although I also like the powerful bass, sometimes quite powerful, which is not here. A powerful bass is when, at a volume slightly higher than the usual voice, crystal in the cabinets begins to ring, and if it is louder, under furniture doors, etc. you need to put linings so that they don’t clap, but here the 6490 is more likely to fall apart :) However, the main thing is that the basses should be harmonious. The convexity of the midrange and treble is present, however, in tests with soft Marantz, Panasonic, moderately soft Sony, medium Philips and Denon, I did not feel uncomfortable sound, however, everything is of course subjective. Tests with Denon showed that the potential of the NS-6490 in terms of crystallinity and transparency was exhausted by 75%, and the strong-bass Philips did not show the bass it was capable of, although, in general, relatively good bass. It should be noted that budget amplifiers and decent stereos are able to produce much better sound than paired with the NS-6490, my stereos with acoustics for $ 300-500 almost always easily beat Hi-Fi stereo CD receivers in tests, which were paired with the NS-6490 ($150), connecting the NS-6490 to these budget Hi-Fi amplifiers gave a smaller, or rather negligible increase in sound quality than connecting more expensive acoustics to the Amazon. The NS-6490 did not reveal the capabilities of these amplifiers. Hi-Fi amplifiers with speakers for $ 300-500 surpass the NS-6490 in sound by one or two orders of magnitude, practically regardless of what the NS-6490 works with, the quality of a built-in system is always limited by the quality of the "weakest" link in it . The cost of acoustics is fully justified, it has been serving for decades, but of course, be sure to listen for yourself. If you now turn on the speakers more expensive, everything will immediately become clear and the NS-6490 will modestly listen to them on the sidelines. However, when the NS-6490 is played, there are no negative emotions, only positive ones.

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

Closed housing, thanks to which the speakers are not critical to the location. That is, you can put it anywhere, and be sure that the sound will be good everywhere. Unlike systems with a rear bass reflex, which are very difficult to find a place (closer to the corners, for example, it is not recommended to install them, since the bass level rises sharply, and these are not pleasant bass, but just a rumble that cannot be suppressed by an equalizer. systems, the bass is clear and biting as a…

    Pros
    • High sensitivity, sufficient power reserve, closed case.

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

Yamaha, having invented and made this model, jumped above its head, in reality, in the budget segment up to 10,000, you can’t find better bookshelf speakers with 3-band and three stripes! I bought a video for 8990r, I am satisfied with the purchase, there are no negative and obvious disadvantages to the acoustics, they deserve attention, I didn’t bring any gag into the speakers and I’m not going to do it better than the manufacturer, and I don’t consider myself smarter than Yamaha engineers.…

    Pros
    • The sound, as it should sound, 3 bands with SL, especially medium-high ones, plays chic for this, and took them and did not regret the expectations were met, they play very ringing on the HF and there is that “chik” that I love, there is a certain “glass” in the sound for me personally me it's a plus. With regards to the bottoms with them, too, everything is OK, no subwoofer is needed, thanks to the closed case, the bass is quite biting and clear, there is no "bubbling" a room of 15 sq. m. I'm not a big fan of low frequencies, so such parties don't happen often. They play in tandem with the Yamaha AX 700v, the sound is awesome. The appearance also deserves attention, it is concise and strict, the black front part with piano lacquer imitation inserts in a cube with three white speakers looks chic, fits almost any interior and style, beautiful grill design ( decorative mesh). I also liked the fastening of cables, they are reliable and, most importantly, they are universally suitable for any type of connection (bananas, a shovel or a regular screw clamp).
    Cons
    • Unless the walls of the case are thin, I would like it to be thicker and heavier, there are no spikes in the kit and a connection cable, but this is more of a nitpick for such a price. As soon as you bought it, you connected it (I'm talking about new ones), you practically won't hear the bottoms, so they require warming up for at least a month and a half, only after a sane bass appears.

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

Were purchased in the 14th year, coupled with res rs-201 and Subic yst-sw215 of the same manufacturer (so to speak, a budget option). I listen to various genres and only in good quality (sometimes mp3, but with a bitrate of at least 320 kb / s). On res high +8, bottoms +6; on the sub volume at 12 o'clock, cutoff at 9 o'clock. Room 20 squares. It is breathtaking both at low and medium volumes, and in the hello neighbors mode (IMHO). With the grills removed, it is a nice bonus of aesthetic…

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

As many have noted, these are speakers that can be easily modified to improve sound quality: vibration and internal resonances need to be reduced. What did I do? - Gluing the side walls and the bottom with STP Bomb Premium bituminous anti-vibration material. - Gluing the inner walls with STP Biplast Premium sound absorber - Replacing capacitors with K78-34 - Gluing the places of fastening the speakers to the body with soft rubber around the perimeter (circle). Materials in the amount of 2400…

    Pros
    • Compact geometry, good dynamics, good and simple design. Easily modified.
    Cons
    • There are none at this price.

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

Pros below: I bought for 6000 for a promotion in 2022, then I sold it and bought it with modified cases, the weight is already 9 kg each. In my opinion, they play excellently for their price. Look at how many reviews. I am also surprised by the lack of bass. types of surround sound begin to bass. I could not find the reason. Maybe the location is as rear ones. I listened to them on receivers in the category of 30t. R and scha on a Chinese amp for $20. Great sound! I am inclined to agree with…

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

Some (but not some - many) write about the primitive filter. Someone is changing. I listened to a couple of videos, before and after the shift. Of course, it's stupid to judge by the sound in the video, but there are no improvements. There are deteriorations. Gentlemen, dissatisfied, maybe this is not a bug, but a feature. Maybe we should let a wide range of everything? Someone else is upset that the walls are thin, but this is from the realm of fashion. Maybe with fat they would have played…

    Pros
    • There is such a modern term - life hack, which in 2022 means "f*ing reality." These columns are just a life hack. Combine them with an amplifier according to the standard rule (2 - 2.5 speaker costs), about which they write that it has a "soft" sound, and you will get a MIRACLE. Yamaha won't fit. Itself checked on Taga, Denon. Better Taga. It always comes down to budget. This is such a sport: here you have 30 thousand, well, close up the adult sound. Moreover, in conditions when all showrooms have nothing to do with the geometry of your room. Personally, I'm proud of what I found. I listened to a lot. My pair has a sound - for all 150 thousand. Room 20 meters. Yes, at 30 and beyond, he will "surrender", of course. But if your room is something like this - there is no point in marketing - almost all devices are configured for showrooms, and not for our real rooms. I listen from Spotify at the maximum quality of streaming through AptX.
    Cons
    • "Dirty" white color on the speakers. It is impossible to look at it, therefore it is impossible to remove the grids.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are deviations, in general it is tolerable.

Bought in the 15th year for 6700. To Pioneer VSX-424 receiver. I used it with a subwoofer (14 "Paradigm). The low frequencies of the speakers themselves are not very deep, but pleasant. The problem is with the high frequencies, they are not enough and they are not clear. And the mids are not particularly encouraging. As a result, both tweeters and one midrange failed. The latter costs 2100, and the tweeters cost 950. I threw it away and don't regret it. I bought a VECTOR HX300 for 11,000. and…

    Pros
    • Price. Reasonable size. Three stripes.
    Cons
    • High frequencies.

Product satisfying the quality of the product, good price.

I bought it, turned it on through a vintage Yamaha Natural Sound AX - 500 - the sound is quite decent, there is enough power, like nothing, I even liked it on The Wall - Pink Floyd compact. But, as stands for them, there were Soviet broadbands - Hong Kong 10AS on 10GDSH 36 - 79th year, with restored suspensions. Included for comparison in the same amplifier, the second pair. A surprise awaited me, ten-watt models with a band of 53 - 18000, in terms of sound quality both in lows and highs, beat…

    Pros
    • Appearance, clear sound.
    Cons
    • Flaws in the comments. And of course, thin cases, like speakers from music centers. Sorry chipboard.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

The speakers are a bomb, the sound is chic (they work in conjunction with the Yamaha R-N303 stereo receiver, the music is Deezer HiFi subscription, flac). After the music center - heaven and earth. The speakers are fundamental, large - they won’t fit on every table / shelf, you need to take this into account when buying (after all, there is a 20cm bass speaker inside). While standing on the windowsill, but I will hang on the wall. I connected them with a 2.5mm2 cable. Completely satisfied!

    Pros
    • Great sound, great looks, 3-way, closed box
    Cons
    • Not detected

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

The choice was between them and Edifier R2700. Nevertheless, I decided to try passive acoustics, the amplifier was just idle. And didn't guess I took it for 8k to replace the dead computer acoustics sven 2.1. I was a little tortured with the connection, but for the first time I connect passive acoustics. I made friends with a fellow Yamaha amplifier. But all the torment disappeared in the same second when I finally connected them. I have never heard such a crystal clear sound, incredible depth…

    Pros
    • Just a cosmic sound, after a computer sven like heaven and earth Three-bands, which cannot but affect the sound Great look The price for almost high-fi acoustics!
    Cons
    • They are huge and won't fit on every table. But this can hardly be considered a real disadvantage.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Impressions from the purchase are good, buy.

I had to modify it by replacing capacitors, wires, adding damping material. The sound has become noticeably better, which I'm not overjoyed with. Has some pros: For such money they play normally. The middle is almost perfect. Suitable for music where bass is not needed. Cons below: 1) Speaker dimensions; 2) There is simply no bass up to 63Hz . ; 3) Terrible capacitors; 4) Thin wires inside the speakers; 5) A thin body that plays along as best it can.

Requires an amplifier. originally used with onkio 9010, and there is little bass, and something would not be upgraded. everything changed with the connection of yamaha as 501! became a full-fledged ace. more than enough bass, great. the impression that it was made specifically for skoi usi.

Worth the money, if you wish, you can redo it, either a three-band filter inside the speakers, or make an active filter and each speaker has its own amplifier. Different pros: Excellent three-way hifi level speakers in a closed case. Excellent speakers. Has some cons: In principle, there is no money for this. Body not strong enough.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    Nice price, good quality.

They look decent only with installed grids, without them, they are somewhat noisy because of the white diffusers. I would prefer black if I had a choice. Pros below: Decent sound, adequate to the volume of the case and constructive. Got cons: I would like more impact and softness at low frequencies at low volume. I hope that over time, the diffusers and corrugations (suspension) will turn around, acquire some elasticity and the sound will "ripen".

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, I advise you to try it.

With its pros: Good clear sound at a reasonable price. Having 3 lanes. High speaker sensitivity. High frequencies play very clearly. They look solid. Got cons: The rim of the woofer does not fit snugly. At a nominal 70 watts at very low frequencies, they begin to wheeze (too much cone travel). No wall mount. Bass is not as pronounced as bass reflexes.

I just love the way they rock. Especially if high-quality mixing and lossless. Orgasm of the ears) Other directions also sound wonderful. Sometimes I like to listen to good electronic music. Story. Very nice and detailed sound. Connoisseurs of stereo sound will appreciate. Pros: Great sound quality. Gorgeous mids, highs, and lows are what you need. No hum. They play with Pioneer A 30 so far, it's 40 watts at 8 ohms, I don't twist the sound for more than half. The 12kv room is sounded above the…

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for money, one of the best offers.

Pros below: The highs play great. Low, of course, it is better to start up through the sub. I am very pleased with the acoustics. Its cons: There is no phase inverter, but it depends on the room where you take it. In nature, these will not play.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is of good quality, but I won't buy it again.

When connecting to weak amps, they all of a sudden start complaining that there is absolutely no bass at all. Don't be an idiot and try it with a different one, or offer an instant supply of power if that doesn't work. Anybody has trouble believing should look at the impedance measurements on the stereo. Ru. Before that, I used the TPA3123 to listen to the Microlab Pro-2 with the Muse M50 amplifier, and eventually I desired more. I regret buying these speakers since they do not produce any bass

    Pros
    • I was successful in achieving a sound that was both well-balanced and detailed. They are unquestionably an improvement over the Microlab Pro-2 speakers that I had been using (from the same amp). When I first started listening to them, I was unable to listen to them at a low intensity and yet hear all of the subtleties; now I am able to do so. A low-cost method for experimenting with "Closed Box" acoustic design in addition to other methods.
    Cons
    • The left and right columns are identical; however, there is a disparity in the distance that separates the tweeters on the left and right from the head. In order for them to produce bass, you need an amplifier that has a power reserve, even when the volume is turned down. In that case, we might say that he is not pretentious. The rest of this money will go toward the less important things in life.
