Review on Black Finish Yamaha NS-6490 Pair of 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers by Van Chayathon ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

Closed housing, thanks to which the speakers are not critical to the location. That is, you can put it anywhere, and be sure that the sound will be good everywhere. Unlike systems with a rear bass reflex, which are very difficult to find a place (closer to the corners, for example, it is not recommended to install them, since the bass level rises sharply, and these are not pleasant bass, but just a rumble that cannot be suppressed by an equalizer. systems, the bass is clear and biting as a blow, of course, not as fundamental as that of large outdoor speakers, but very, very worthy and beautiful. some note, I consider it not a disadvantage, but an advantage. "Smothered" and "deaf" systems are much harder to listen to. The first impression is not very good - light and the body is booming when tapped. However, you forget about this when you start listening. No rattling, no pops I was surprised that the bass is even at the lowest volume!I connected it to Harman / Kardon PM665, NAD 7080, 4-channel Marantz SM365AFB amplifiers and our Corvette 004. With ALL amplifiers, the speakers play perfectly, b without any cotton. With a Denon AVR-4311 receiver as additional fronts, or expansion speakers, or high fronts (11-channel res. allows you to assign speakers as you like), they play music - well, in movies - excellent. With my Pioneer HPM-110, Technics SB-7, Kenwood KL-777X and S-90 speakers as extras they play great. As part of a recreation center, along with the Cortland F6113/ C8413/ S8413, which does NOT have outstanding performance, and the Monitor Audio Gold C350 center, which has outstanding performance, they sang in any capacity without problems. My opinion: for a small room they will go even for music, given the price-quality ratio . For an average room, as part of a recreation center - take it for now. I consider any drilling of holes to be just stupid, and pasting from the inside, well, I don’t know, I don’t know. Maybe it is the non-pasted walls that give an increased return on low frequencies.
