It works miracles - my new review

I received my product today I just recently had a strained muscle on my ankle and broke my fibula what fractured it I must say my feet was so swollen I was using the ice in the ziplock bag I found this product on Revain and it has been just in one day worked a miracle with the swelling in my feet I'm not frustrated I don't need any pain pills so it is great I'm glad I found it I recommend this for anybody with any type of foot problem for sprains breaks anything it is great

Pros
  • Have used for years/old one wore out
Cons
  • The cooler is heavy and difficult to move around

Simple idea, well excuted

First off, the hose and boot connections have valves to prevent water loss when disconnected. Yes a few drops of water will spill when disconnecting, but mine never leaked. The insulated hose keeps moisture from forming on the outside of the hose.I used the unit after ankle surgery. My only regret was waiting until after the surgery to order. I recommend wearing a sock to regulate the temperature. The cryo boot was a huge improvement over balancing an ice bag on ankle.

Pros
  • Easy to use.
Cons
  • The cooler is not portable

Achilles rupture surgically repaired

This product has been extremely helpful during my recovery from a rupture Achilles. I’m a 25 yo male that ruptured my Achilles playing basketball and had it surgically repaired. I’ve used this daily from 2 weeks post op to manage swelling and the combination of compression and ice given by the cryo cuff has been exactly what I wanted. I played college basketball before and whirpooled my ankles daily, and I’ve found that the temperature of the water stays low enough to provide swelling reduction

Pros
  • I had a torn ligament - this was a game changer for my ankle
Cons
  • The cooler is expensive

Why didn't we buy sooner?

Love it! Game changer! Can't believe we hadn't bought sooner with all the ankle rolls my daughter gets! Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Easy to refill
Cons
  • The cooler may cause discomfort when sitting or lying down

You need one of these!

This is perfect for icing down from surgery. I had foot surgery on Fri, put this on when I got home and its been on ever since, today is Thurs. You put water in the cooler container- add ice and stir until it gets very cold. Take the hose from the cooler attatch to the boot, open the valve and the icy water flows right in. Stays cold 3 to 6 hours. Once done, attach the hose again, open the valve and the water from the boot flows back into the cooler. If needed you add more ice. Simple, no mess…

Pros
  • Hot & Cold Therapies
Cons
  • The cooler may not be durable

Worth every penny! on my review.

I just had surgery on my foot and bought this cold water therapy to help with any swelling. I have to say it’s been a life saver. When I’d start feeling some pain, I’d fill it up and leave it on for 30 minutes and it helped alleviate the pain to where I could put off taking any of my pain meds. I would highly recommend this for anyone having foot surgery.

Pros
  • Provides a relaxing sensation
Cons
  • The cooler may be too cold for some people to tolerate

So much better than a bag of frozen veggies.

This works great. My husband had TAR-total ankle replacement-surgery. His swelling and pain level was easier to control with this product. He said that this was one of the best inventions to date.

Pros
  • Accelerates healing process
Cons
  • The cooler may cause discomfort in other parts of the leg

Best Cryo Therapy for Ankle

This cuff is for ankles, not feet. Aircast offers a foot cuff if that is what you are seeking. You can use the cooler with other types of cuffs - but not simultaneously.Like other reviewers, I broke my ankle and needed surgery. I'm lucky and didn't have much pain, but I did have swelling. My PT facility had a motorized version of this, but I'm poor so I was looking for a cheaper alternative. This thing worked wonderfully. It was better than an ice pack that needed to be taken out and back into…

Pros
  • Universal fit allows the Aircast Ankle Cryo/Cuff to be worn on either the left or the right leg
Cons
  • The cooler may leak, causing a mess

Made such a difference!

I got this to ice my ankle and Achilles tendon. I had been icing with a large ice pack, but it was not flexible enough to adjust to all the curves of the foot and heel. This product totally wraps the foot/ankle area and provides gentle supportive pressure as well as cold. The first time I tried the cryo cuff, the relief from pain was so amazing that I almost cried. I have been using this about 2 months now as my tendon heals and it makes a huge difference in my life.

Pros
  • Product got ice cold all the way the foot and ankle.
Cons
  • The cooler requires regular maintenance

Great product but had 2 defective units

This is a life saver. Great way to keep your foot iced. Easy to use and easy to clean. On the first unit the velcro strap came off after a few days of use. On the second unit the coupling got so difficult to use I could not get the hose disconnected.

Pros
  • Refreshing
Cons
  • The cooler may not work well in humid or hot environments

An ANKLE SURGERY must have!

This was great to have after a broken ankle followed by surgery. It is a little heavy to carry from one room to the next but worth the effort. The gravity fed cooler was easy and I could use it anywhere without worrying about an electrical outlet.

Pros
  • Ankle Surgery
Cons
  • The cooler is noisy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

feels good. But in my review

My size foot: 7. Does it adequately ice my foot? Yes. My foot is COLD. feels good. But.The entire ankle? No. (Not the front of my ankle) it works great my lower calf , my foot and my heel ! . I fractured my fibula and tore a ligament. My ankle is swollen in a ring fashion around the lower ankle & also on lower calf, worse on the left lateral ankle. This definitely works better than regular ice especially on the heel, calf, but the front of the ankle is not cold enough because the boot is too…

Pros
  • Long-lasting relief
Cons
  • The cooler may be difficult to wear with socks or shoes

Doing its job, do to the swelling

The Aircast Cryo/ Cuff Cold pack was packed well, and was easy to set up. Do to a bad motorcycle crash, I needed something to bring down the swelling in my ankle and foot. I have one for my knee also, so this Cuff was on within 5 minutes. And it's very cold on my foot and cold water is evenly around the entire foot and ankle, so I'm sure it will be bringing down the swelling in no time. It's doing what I needed it to do and that's is getting rid of the swelling, it feels awesome. Awesome…

Pros
  • Fits most sizes
Cons
  • The cooler may be hard to store when not in use

Great for bunion surgery!

I've used this for 2 bunion surgeries (1 doctor provided it for my surgery 16 years ago; thrilled to find it on Revain!) and would highly recommend to keep swelling down. It is easy to use and totally worth the money. I wish I had known about it during a bad ankle sprain as it would have been perfect! Only draw-back is that it doesn't cover my toes well, so my toes did swell, but I have really big feet (women's size 12-13) so it may work for you. You won't regret this purchase!

Pros
  • Safe and effective tool
Cons
  • The cooler may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions

Better than the Thousand dollar machines

This device is amazing! I had a very long incision peroneal replacement surgery. Icing is an absolute must after working out and therapy. This device is actually better than some of the multi-thousand dollar machines. It you elevate the insulated container as high above as you can, you can get higher amount of compression. Tip: Freeze some water bottles and insert them. I use Three. Two right in the front and one in the back. I add some crushed ice, add some cool water, let it set and freeze up

Pros
  • Gravity Cooler holds water and ice needed to provide 6 to 8 hours of cryotherapy; Compatible with all Cryo/Cuff and Arctic Flow pads
Cons
  • The cooler may not provide enough cold therapy

Goodbye Swollen Ankle!

I have struggled with ankle pain and swelling for years. I thought I would just have to live with it until I found this Aircast Cryo/Cuff cold therapy system. It's simple to use and made my ankle feel better after only a week of use. Be sure to follow directions. I found it easy to use while watching TV in a recliner. The cold compression is a dream come true. Highly recommend this product to anyone on their feet all day!

Pros
  • Ideal for post-surgical recovery
Cons
  • The cooler may require a specific type of sleeve to work

So glad I purchased this!

This is working perfectly for me after my foot surgery. Much better than getting up and down every 30 minutes to get a frozen gel ice pack out of the freezer, especially since I am only allowed to have my foot below my shoulder for ten minutes out of every hour.

Pros
  • Improves joint mobility
Cons
  • The cooler may not be easy to clean between uses

Outstanding! in my review

My son broke his ankle skiing and needed to ice it regularly to keep down the swelling. After fighting with ice bags and resuable ice packs, the doc recommended this device. Couldn't be more pleased!

Pros
  • Feels so good, just like at therapy
Cons
  • The cooler is difficult to clean

Best product I bought on Revain

I broke my ankle in three places and had to have surgery.Long story short, after the removal of my cast, I had a lot of swelling and a lot of pain. I tried frozen bags of food and towels and plastic bags of ice. Then my P.T. told me about the Cryo Cuff. I searched Revain and read all the reviews on just about all of the many different cold therapy devices. Finally, I decided to purchase the: Aircast Cryo/Cuff Cold Therapy: Ankle Cryo/Cuff with Non-Motorized (Gravity-Fed) Cooler. I have had…

Pros
  • Easy to store
Cons
  • The cooler may require a lot of water to fill

Get this now! Game changer after ankle surgery

I heard about this product after a friend told me about it- her daughter was using one after knee surgery. I was a few weeks in from ankle surgery. I wish I had purchased it sooner! As I’ve become more mobile and doing more PT, I use it every night since over the course of the day my ankle balloons up. It helps so much with pain and swelling. It’s easy to set up too. Highly recommend!

Pros
  • Prevents further injuries
Cons
  • The cooler may be too heavy to carry
