This product has been extremely helpful during my recovery from a rupture Achilles. I’m a 25 yo male that ruptured my Achilles playing basketball and had it surgically repaired. I’ve used this daily from 2 weeks post op to manage swelling and the combination of compression and ice given by the cryo cuff has been exactly what I wanted. I played college basketball before and whirpooled my ankles daily, and I’ve found that the temperature of the water stays low enough to provide swelling reduction and pain relief similar to using a whirlpool. Put lots of ice in the cooler.The bottom of the Achilles that connects to the heel doesn’t get covered by the water, so if that’s where you tore your Achilles this isn’t for you. But if you have a standard Achilles rupture I highly recommend using this product. It is far easier and more convenient than filling a bag with ice.
