Review on Black Finish Yamaha NS-6490 Pair of 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers by Gabi Luyska

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is of good quality, but I won't buy it again.

When connecting to weak amps, they all of a sudden start complaining that there is absolutely no bass at all. Don't be an idiot and try it with a different one, or offer an instant supply of power if that doesn't work. Anybody has trouble believing should look at the impedance measurements on the stereo. Ru. Before that, I used the TPA3123 to listen to the Microlab Pro-2 with the Muse M50 amplifier, and eventually I desired more. I regret buying these speakers since they do not produce any bass and the music is lacking in depth and is monotonous. Only Bob Marley was listenable when the volume was turned down. I purchased an FX-Audio FX-502spro amplifier on a TPA3250 for them, and after installing it, the sound was back to normal. Additionally, some details that were previously indistinguishable became audible once again. At the same time, it was discovered that directing them straight at the listener results in an increase in the amount of high-frequency sound (the same "brightness"). a twenty-degree turn, and here's what you require today. Both Metallica and Apocalyptica perform quite well. There are times when guitars that sound "dirty" sound unpleasant (have you heard of Rammstein or Therapy?). Although the vocals aren't giving me goosebumps, everything else about them is fine. In addition, I purchased them so that I could do away with the Polk Audio T50. In comparison to them, Yamaha lacks this bass in their lineup. Yet, anything beyond that is perfectly acceptable. I would still recommend them provided your budget allows for it, perhaps in conjunction with a subwoofer.

Pros
  • I was successful in achieving a sound that was both well-balanced and detailed. They are unquestionably an improvement over the Microlab Pro-2 speakers that I had been using (from the same amp). When I first started listening to them, I was unable to listen to them at a low intensity and yet hear all of the subtleties; now I am able to do so. A low-cost method for experimenting with "Closed Box" acoustic design in addition to other methods.
Cons
  • The left and right columns are identical; however, there is a disparity in the distance that separates the tweeters on the left and right from the head. In order for them to produce bass, you need an amplifier that has a power reserve, even when the volume is turned down. In that case, we might say that he is not pretentious. The rest of this money will go toward the less important things in life.
