Works great with tactile transducers

Use to power 2x 8ohm 4ohm tactile transducers. I'm taking the signal from a subwoofer that's already on and was afraid that the high level input would be unacceptable and I'd have to convert it to a low level, but it works amazing! I only set the volume at 30% as I don't want them going down too much or muffling the subwoofer too much! I'll probably buy another one when I assemble the box and when I put another sensor on the PC chair! In the picture I made the center leg for my sofa that these…

Good for the price, too much profit.

I bought the mono subwoofer version to drive a passive subwoofer for a basic home theater system. The first thing I noticed was that the gain was too high, so I replaced the 100kΩ feedback resistor with a 100kΩ potentiometer. The next problem was that the cutoff frequency was around 70Hz, which is a bit lower than I wanted for the subwoofer. I removed 3 filter caps to turn it into a direct amp. So if you're going to use it with something that has bass management, buy the version without a…

Passive subwoofer - Worked

It worked! I needed an amplifier for a passive subwoofer in our surround sound. For some reason this was a problem. This guy came quickly and got the job done for a good price. My only issues are minor - I needed a cable with two different plugs to make it work with my receiver (3.5mm to mono) and no power adapter is supplied. I bought a power supply with adapters and none fit. Luckily I'm the guy who happened to have cables and connectors in stock and found the right one. I think the seller…

Great replacement for an inboard amp

I have an old Polk Audio subwoofer, the inboard amp died years ago and I put it on a shelf in my basement as it was over US$120 -dollars to replace the amp. I came across the Nobsound NS-03G subwoofer and decided to give it a try. For $25 it was worth it. The amplifier does not come with a power supply, which is not surprising given the price. I found an old IBM laptop power adapter at Goodwill for $2.10 and the problem was solved. I removed the panel amp from the subwoofer, cut out a piece of…

Connected to a Sony passive subwoofer.

Works great. I got some 5.1 speakers from an old Sony 5 all in one DVD player and hooked the speakers up to a Sony 7.2 receiver and it was all plug n play except for the subwoofer which was passive (i.e. he has a built-in amplifier). To fix this, I simply placed "Nobsound NS-03G Subwoofer Amplifier 100W Mini Sub Power Amp (Black)" between the subwoofer and the receiver and adjusted the Nobsound volume to my liking. Yes, that's right. No power adapter was included, but I had an old Dell 19v 90w…

Nice little amp with a design issue

I bought one of these and used it to power a bass shaker under my office/gaming chair. In this capacity it worked fine for a year, but then stopped working even though the lightbulb was still on. EDIT: This turned out to be a bug coming from the amp, not a bug in the amp. The amp does a good job as long as all the wiring is in order. However, the unit will generate sparks if the power supply is plugged into the wall before it is plugged into the amplifier! watch the video This also happens when

Better than expected.

I bought this amp and power supply recommended in the description to replace the power amp I was using to power my home theater subwoofer. Given the price and size of this amp, I had very low expectations. When I pocketed this little gem I was amazed. This tiny box has more than enough power to drive a subwoofer. Volume control is smooth, with no noticeable pops, crackles, or distortion common to amps in this price range. The sound quality is also better than I expected. Can this little box be…

Works great with amps

We had a surround sound system in one of the rooms in our house, but there was no receiver or amplifier for the passive subwoofer. Some time ago I bought a receiver and finally decided on a subwoofer amplifier. This amp looks sleek and does the job. The docking of the star is double. First, it's not immediately obvious, but the power adapter isn't included. I bought an adjustable one from Menards for about $15 and it works fine (the one sold separately is about $18) and that little detail…

Pros
  • Super mini size and durable body. It can be easily placed on your desk or subwoofer.
Cons
  • For old

Perfection at a price

Nobsound arrived quickly with no instructions, specs or diagrams. Through trial and error, it was determined that the old 65w laptop power adapter had a suitable barrel connector and the audio input was a standard mini jack, just like the port on the old iPad. It was assumed that the unspecified voltage range was 10 to 20 volts, as that's what's stated in related products from Douk Audio (Nobsound's rumored parent company). 11" x 11" plywood box and lit it. It worked well, and by driving it…

Inexpensive replacement for plate amplifier

I needed to replace a faulty sub amp board that would have cost about $100. Instead, I took a chance with this Nobsound 100-watt digital subwoofer. It works great for what it is, but only with a few extra parts: the volume control doubles as the power switch, and there's no auto-on feature like most powered subwoofers have. I use a remote switch (Etekcity) for the subwoofer. As a result, the bass level does not have to be adjusted every time the device is switched on. You need your own power…
