I bought the mono subwoofer version to drive a passive subwoofer for a basic home theater system. The first thing I noticed was that the gain was too high, so I replaced the 100kΩ feedback resistor with a 100kΩ potentiometer. The next problem was that the cutoff frequency was around 70Hz, which is a bit lower than I wanted for the subwoofer. I removed 3 filter caps to turn it into a direct amp. So if you're going to use it with something that has bass management, buy the version without a subwoofer and leave the crossover to the hardware. Why 3 stars, basically an improvement on what they thought.
