Perfection at a price

Nobsound arrived quickly with no instructions, specs or diagrams. Through trial and error, it was determined that the old 65w laptop power adapter had a suitable barrel connector and the audio input was a standard mini jack, just like the port on the old iPad. It was assumed that the unspecified voltage range was 10 to 20 volts, as that's what's stated in related products from Douk Audio (Nobsound's rumored parent company). 11" x 11" plywood box and lit it. It worked well, and by driving it with mediapunkstudios.com's $2.95 Tone Generator app, I was able to verify that the output was fairly flat from 40Hz to 400Hz. I didn't want to overload the speaker, so I can't comment on whether the Nobsound actually lives up to its advertised 100W output. The variable resistor that controls the volume is smooth and the power indicator is all you need to control it. nice little subwoofer. About $30.

Pros
  • It uses the TPA3116D2 chip and can deliver 100W high power. With smooth volume control.
Cons
