There are many places here in the Los Angeles area where I have used this shoe. Eaton Canyon, the bridge to nowhere, wherever I'm going to hike across the river and so on. They also make great beach shoes! Ideal for shallow/low tide where there might be rocks or things you just can't see. Pool shoes, deck shoes, the list goes on and on. Lots of places you just need something where your foot needs to be dipped in water, but you want a good grip and protective barrier between your foot and what's on the ground.
