The overall size of the bulb is much larger than an incandescent 921. Model 921 is 1-3/8" overall length and has a diameter of 5/8". It has an overall length of 2" and a diameter of 7/8". As such, I would not recommend using it in applications that require the bulb to pass through a small hole. Also, the shape of the plastic just above the base is much larger than the 921 glass, so it might not even fit in the socket.
