Review on Tech PC3 8500 1066MHz MC438LL Memory by Matthew Davenport

Received and installed this 16GB memory in a "vintage" Mac Mini. At first everything seemed fine, although as expected I didn't see any increase in performance from 8GB to 16GB. The RAM seemed to be working fine for a few months, and then my MAC mini started experiencing daily panics and kernel reboots after a recent Apple High Sierra update. I thought it was software, but I couldn't find or isolate the specific application or driver that might be causing the problem. As a last resort, I removed the 16GB of RAM and reinstalled the original 8GB of RAM. Now everything works correctly and there is no more kernel panic.
