I've just completed a long test drive with my new Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS camera. I learned a lot about it and will share my learnings as clearly as possible. You should know that I have far more digital cameras than any person should have. My years of experience with them has given me some confidence in talking about the Canon ELPH 330HS. This is my second Canon camera. I also have a Canon PowerShot SX230 HS camera which is similar in many ways. I am an avid amateur photographer and my comments are influenced by the extensive use of my cameras for this purpose. I hope the following observations will help you decide on the Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS. Pros:* The camera is pretty small and really fits in your pocket.* Mine is silver and looks great.* It takes great pictures on the AUTO setting, but there are plenty of options for those who think manual is better .* Has an extensive list of shooting modes for every situation.* It has face detection, blink and smile detection functions.* Excellent camera performance in low light conditions.* 12.1 megapixels capture many details in images.* Enough 10x optical zoom and the anti-shock function makes them clear.* The automatic image stabilization works very well.* Close-ups are beautiful.* Wi-Fi is an outstanding technology. etc. This is what makes this camera so special.* I use WiFi in my ELPH 330 HS to wirelessly transfer photos to both iOS devices and PC. It's amazing.* The camera saves pictures on SD memory cards, so pictures can also be transferred to a computer in the same way.* You can also upload photos directly to social networks or via WiFi via WiFi.* I have the free Apple Camera uses Windows app. to connect to my iPod 5g and it worked better than Canon's suggestions included in the user manual DVD. and bright.* The 330HS movies are excellent and there are multiple shooting options available.* Even Full HD video with stereo sound is available.* The fit and finish are very good meaning this is a solid, quality camera . Cons:* Setting up the Wi-Fi feature isn't that easy, although some of it is automatic.* Transferring photos over Wi-Fi is a little slow, but that's not a problem.* Camera controls aren't thumb-friendly.* Not enough for me manual shooting has mode dial - fiddling with on-screen options is too slow to be useful when scenes, locations and objects are changing rapidly. * The user manual on the supplied DVD confuses the wireless setup. * The hybrid cinema feature is weird and seems to have a limited purpose. * I have yet to determine what the body of this camera is made of. It feels very light, suggesting plastic, but perhaps aluminum.* One can become confused and confused by the many options available, and it's difficult to find a way out of unnecessary adjustments. Just in case, there is a way to reinstall everything. That's all I can offer for a first impression. I plan to bring my new ELPH 330 HS to Europe this spring and hope to be able to use the Wi-Fi capabilities to send photos back to friends and family while I'm traveling abroad. UPDATE: I have just returned from a 2 week stay in the UK and have taken almost 700 photos with my Canon ELPH 330 HS and am very happy with its performance. This little camera did everything I asked it to do. Being able to transfer all of these images to my iPad and Windows 7 laptop over Wi-Fi was a great addition to many other features. I'm even more impressed with this camera after putting it through a very thorough test. I pushed the camera a lot on our trip and without a suitcase. I even dropped it once and it kept ticking. As a travel camera, the best of them all in my opinion.
