I read another review before buying these that the heel cups had irritated the skin after some use. I have had similar issues with the silicone watch bands so I decided to use these over my socks.They do help cushion the heel and my pain has decreased with use.But! This stuff works great, however there is one small detail I didn't quite understand when I purchased. Sunlight is an absolute necessity when using this to make repairs. I thought sunlight was just an accelerator, not a requirement. So, make sure when you are ready to use, you have a nice clean surface and know exactly where you want to apply it. Seems like all the other 1/4 tubes. Be careful though. This product has a noticeable shine to it, compared to the dull finish on the others. I am using this product in AZ. It is more elastic than the others, and in the extreme heat and sun it stretches. So much so, the water pressure blows the hose off of the T's or in-line fittings.
