This is a really good winter jacket. It's very warm and surprisingly light. I'm a medium in shirts so I ordered a medium in a jacket. It's a little looser than I expected, but still looks good and isn't bulky. A little extra space is good for layering. On the wrists it has long cuffs with thumb holes, which makes it very easy to tuck in the gloves. The cuffs have velcro that slips easily over my gloves for a really sealed and very warm hand. It features underarm vents that are great for temperature control while boarding or hiking if you're all active. The tongues are large enough to be manipulated with board gloves. The hood is deep, fits snugly on the back, does not bulge at incomprehensible angles. The collar closes to the mouth and hugs the neck snugly without restricting movement or causing claustrophobia. It also has an internal drawstring to keep it snug to your face if desired. I love it when it's open and appreciate that it's low and fits wide and open instead of sitting snugly on my head, leaving room for my hat and allowing me to move my head freely. It holds up really well too, doesn't fall back when I turn my head. There are many bags that I love. On the outside of the chest there are two wide and fairly deep pockets that offer enough space for everything, and the pocket is attached to the inner lining of the jacket so that what you put there does not hit your chest when you move. around, everything stays sung and safe. There's also an inner chest pocket just off the zipper line on the left chest with a hole for the headphone cord - it's smaller than the outer chest pockets but fits my husband's iPhone 12 pro max without having to slide it in - fits snugly, but don't get in/out hard. It fits my iPhone 13 mini, offers a lot of space and is very easy to plug in and out. The hip pockets are a good, comfy place to keep your hands in your pockets and are wide enough to slide the jacket's cuffs in easily without ripping them off. There is only one internal pocket at the waist - it is mesh and zipped and is a good size and will securely fit my iPad mini. All zips are flat sealed and hermetically sealed - they open/close smoothly and won't snag or snag on guards. Easily manipulated even with landing gloves. The waist band on the inside fastens to the sides of the jacket to keep it from dangling when not in use and is snug when in use so it's good at keeping snow off my back. Haven't used it in the snow yet but I took it on a hike where it was below 30 degrees at night - I was wearing a hat, long sleeve shirt and this jacket and I was warm enough, well my top half. It's on definitely windproof - the night was quite windy and it kept me warm and the drafts didn't get in. It's also nice to know that I have enough room for a bit more layers without feeling like State Pufft. Again, I'm very happy that this jacket is quite light - my old winter jacket is from around 2005 and is very bulky - very warm, but very bulky and heavy. I get the same warmth from this new jacket which is almost 1/2 the weight/volume. Great value on material and design achievements. Lastly - I really like his clean, thin style. There aren't a lot of seams and the outer shell is a nice matte nylon - not too loud or shiny. It looks almost like an ordinary warm jacket, but has all the advantages of a snowboard jacket. Now that I'm 15 years older, that's more my style - more grown-up and less apartment-chick :).
