I received these based on reviews and a bit of searching hoping I could use them to light up a bedroom in an apartment. They do about 50% of what I hoped they would. I'm not disappointed, but I'm not particularly thrilled with their brightness. The things that really blew me away were: - The LEDs themselves actually got surprisingly hot - so hot that I am concerned about long term use and will be keeping a close eye on them. - Adhesive backing works - too. Spring. Where I tried to change the skewed position, the paint soaked into the wall within a few seconds of sticking. So if you want them to highlight something and you're up for both of these challenges, go for it! They're cheap and work quite well, just be careful. I think I'll repaint when I move.
